The Christmas tree atop of the balcony is surrounded by about three feet of snow. At the edges of the parking lot, the little piles of snow have turned to little mountains. But inside, the pot of cider is on, the jacuzzi is warm, and we are ready with hot packs, warm towels, and warm hands to take care of you.

If you're thinking of coming to get a gift, it looks like Friday night (we're here til 7) and Saturday (10 am - 7 Pm) will be the kinder weather days, but we will be at the Spa on Sunday from 12-5 just to help you get that holiday gift for that special person.

We've got some special soothing products you might want to add to your spa gift, from cocoa mugs to bath fizzies to aromatic lotions.

Call, stop in, or order on line - and have a fun and relaxing holiday season!

While much of the sports world was watching Lebron James and his new team, the Miami Heat, lose to the Boston Celtics, out on the West Coast the Los Angeles Lakers opened up their season and received their championship rings before the game.

First one to be handed a ring by NBA Commissioner David Stern was Marko Jrjovuori. Marko doesn't start, doesn't even play basketball. He's the team's massage therapist, and has been for six years. He's so appreciated for his work keeping those highly trained and very large, quick bodies limber and pain free through the long season that the players wanted him to have a ring.

Treat yourself like a champion - come enjoy the finest Central New York has to offer at the Art of Massage/Spa at 500.

Others come in to prepare for a major competition, so they are relaxed and their muscles are loose. Often we see people when an injury has gotten hold of them, and we can help get them back in the game quicker. After a major competition like  a marathon or a triathlon, massage helps athletes recover quicker and return to training or their normal daily activities.

In a word, it's about balance. Massage helps to maintain or restore muscle balance. That's the key. With that principle in mind, we work on the specific muscle groups to help them get back into balance or to repair damage that impedes balance.

Whatever your level of...
