I've been a huge fan of Fleet Feet Sports since they opened 13 years ago, and it's not because the owner, Ed Griffin, and I, happen to have been born with the same name. Nor is it because we both married women named Ellen. It's not even because my son Dan works at the store.

I have been a huge fan of theirs because they are dedicated to providing their customers with an experience that helps them reach their fitness goals. They have been our partners in the Central New York fitness community for all these years - at the Mountain Goat, Diva Night at Fleet Feet, and through mutual referrals and consultations.

Syracuse Sandy Relief Event this Sunday, December 2 - Fun Run/Wall, Party and massage-a-thon!

Sandy Relief PosterCome join with your neighbors to help victims of the recent hurricane on Staten Island. This Sunday, December 2, the Spa will host a Walk and Fun Run followed by a party in Armory Square. The run begins at 2:30 and follows a 5 kilometer course through downtown to the Creekwalk, ending in Armory Square. You can see all the details on Facebook by searching for Syracuse Sandy Relief.

Come with a gift card from any major retailer (Target, Home Depot, Babies R Us, Loews) or a cash donation. Proceeds will be delivered directly to neighborhood groups working directly with people affected by the storm.
