The Spa at 500

The Spa At 500 is a wellness center offering therapeutic and relaxation massage, acupuncture, and beauty treatments. We can also host your event or bring massage therapy to your home or office.

The Spa is the home of the Art of Massage, Central New York's premier massage therapy practice, founded in 1997.

We believe that dealing with stress in healthy ways is a key to health, longevity, and happiness. Our menu of massage treatments can be customized to meet your needs. Our house also includes a seven person therapeutic Jacuzzi tub, and a redwood sauna for you to enjoy before and after your massage. The elegance of the setting and the quality of our experienced massage therapists combine for an experience you won't forget. The Spa is also home to Goode Looks Salon, offering a full range of hair styles, nail treatments, and facials, and Goode Chi, featuring acupuncture with Annette Burden.

My father grew up in Brooklyn in the shadow of Ebbets Field, and was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan all his life. He passed away in 2008,  leaving us with many vivid memories of his youthful obsession with his team. An article of faith for any Brooklyn Dodgers fan was that you had to hate the Yankees, and he did, with a passion. Nonetheless, even my Dad would recognize that former Yankee centerfielder Bernie Williams, who will be coming to Syracuse this weekend for Father's Day, is a class act. If you're lucky enough to be able to celebrate this holiday with your father, think about taking him to the ballpark for a game and to hear Bernie sing the national anthem (read the details below).

And whether he's a Yankees fan, a Dodgers fan, or even (heaven help us) a Red Sox fan - you can always get him a gift certificate to the Art of Massage. It's the perfect way to say thanks for all he's done for you.
