The Spa at 500

The Spa At 500 is a wellness center offering therapeutic and relaxation massage, acupuncture, and beauty treatments. We can also host your event or bring massage therapy to your home or office.

The Spa is the home of the Art of Massage, Central New York's premier massage therapy practice, founded in 1997.

We believe that dealing with stress in healthy ways is a key to health, longevity, and happiness. Our menu of massage treatments can be customized to meet your needs. Our house also includes a seven person therapeutic Jacuzzi tub, and a redwood sauna for you to enjoy before and after your massage. The elegance of the setting and the quality of our experienced massage therapists combine for an experience you won't forget. The Spa is also home to Goode Looks Salon, offering a full range of hair styles, nail treatments, and facials, and Goode Chi, featuring acupuncture with Annette Burden.

Usually when the Art of Massage goes to a campus event we are the most popular crew there. Not the case yesterday at SUNY ESF . We had a full roster of stressed students to massage, but on a perfect spring-into-summer day, this Great Dane stole the show. If your classmates or co-workers need a break, invite our licensed massage therapists to visit. Ten minute chair massages make everyone as happy as a sunny day, almost as happy as petting a Great Dane. Call Courtney at 475-9164 to set it up....

Last week the contractors from Shaffer Building Services completed work on the flat roof covering the yoga room at the back end of the Spa. The roof has been planted with highly absorbtive cetum plants, and the rainwater that falls on that roof and on parts of the front of the building will no longer run into the sewers and into Onondaga Lake. This project is part of Onondaga County's award winning Save the Rain project. Save the Rain is Onondaga County's way of meeting the requirements of a federal consent decree that committed the County to preventing further pollution of the lake. We are happy to be part of this effort to improve our town and clean up the waterfront, contributing to making Syracuse one of the most committed cities in the country to improving our environment. Thanks to Kyle Thomas, our engineer, for spearheading this project. Call Ed at 475-9164 if you'd like a tour of the Spa highlighting this and other environmentally friendly measures we have taken at the Spa...
